Handwritten statement by Minor, undated.  The statement was to be read at a meeting of the Faculty to discuss "the proposition to invoke the co-operation of the Y.M.C.A. of the University in obtaining money to complete the Chapel, and also to erect a Hall for the use of the Association."  Minor could not attend the meeting due to law school examinations then in progress.  Minor expresses support for the joint undertaking by the Faculty and the Y.M.C.A., but has reservations regarding any ceding of power on the Faculty's part.  Accordingly, Minor suggests provisions for the contract to ensure that the Faculty maintains full discretion.
