Biographical Notes
Served in the army. Before 1772 he taught at one of the English schools in Dundee; in 1772 he was appointed usher of the Grammar School of Cupar in Fife; 1779 doctor of the Grammar School, Dunfermline. Precentor in the Church of Cupar.
