Son of John Blackburn of Househill and Marion Cathcart; m. Margaret Aiton Colville; his daughters inherited Ochiltree. Sold Househill in 1750 to Robert Dunlop, son of James Dunlop, 3rd of Garnkirk. Partner of the Glasgow Arms Bank.
