Handwritten letter addressed to Joseph Ashby from the Clerk to the Cheddington Parish Council, dated 21 May 1895. The council is requesting to purchase a piece of Ashby's land and provides a physical description of the area.  There is a small sketch at the bottom of the letter that appears to match the description of this parcel of land.
