Handwritten notes entitled, "Benefit of Lien to Assignee of Part of Debt. Case stated by Mr. J. W. Hutcheson of Anderson (...unkown names...)" dated 24 November 1855. The case posed the question of whether liens secured by a mortgage and later transfered to 3rd party assignees retain the mortgage securement after transfer.
