Letter to Unnamed Recipient Discussing the Peace Conference Compromise of 1861, 28 February 1861

Handwritten letter to undisclosed recipient, dated 28 February 1861.  Minor is anxiously asking for word of the Peace Conference members' reactions to what would later be termed the Crittenden Compromise, a proposal of six constitutional amendments and four Congressional resolutions drafted in an attempt to preserve the Union.  Minor discusses specific provisions, including the Missouri Compromise.  The letter appears incomplete and is not signed.
