Professors Kerry Abrams and Deborah Hellman of the University of Virginia School of Law and professor Nancy Polikoff of the American University Washington College of Law spoke at UVA Law on Feb. 19 regarding the impact of United States v. Windsor. The professors tracked developments related to same-sex marriage and LGBT rights since the 5-4 U.S. Supreme Court decision in June of last year that declared Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act to be unconstitutional.
