Law School Archives

Law Special Collections within the UVA Law Library serves as the repository for the administrative records and publications of the UVA School of Law. (Official student records are retained elsewhere in the University.) Of primary significance are the records of the Dean's Office dating from the 1930s through the 1980s and our large collection of Law School photographs, many of which have been digitized. We also maintain administrative records of the Law School associate deans, admissions office, law library, alumni association, graduate degree program for judges, and student organizations. We preserve a growing collection of Law School student notebooks, exams, and other records of the educational experience. Our print archive includes Law School student journals and UVA Law institutional reports and publications.
